Vista Problem Can I install on laptop?

I'm having the NVIDIA/Vista problem like others and I was wondering if I can just install the game on my laptop in the meantime? Haven't used stardock a whole lot so do I need to uninstall it from my desktop first? Or just go ahead and install it?
