monitor switches off

Ive got a benq FP71G+S monitor which goes on standby (e.g. blank screen) after ive installed desxtopx, rebooted the computer and logged in to windows. It goes on standby after about 15 seconds.

any ideas?

ok i had to use system restore to get my comp going again. I tried to reinstall but this time the screen just flicked on and off....is desktopx trying to force a refresh rate my monitor cant support?

i have a nvidia geforce 7600GT and 1.5gig ram so i cant understand why there should be a problem

Hye,

Maybe u can plug your monitor in another PC to make sure that it's not a hardware problem ?

After that make sure that you're Nvidia Drivers are fresh or just compatible

And which OS are you running ?...

Heres my stats, i am running all the latest drivers and i have never had a problem with my monitor with any other program or hardware configuration.
I'm running a pretty standard computer, and this is the only program that ive ever had such a problem with. It did the same thing with objectX, so i suspect the program has a bug not my hardware.
