Problems Using Stardock Central With Gal Civ 2

Hi! I am trying to get Stardock Central to accept my serial, but it won't. I was able to download the 1.4 update, AND to install the game with no hitch with the serial the game provided me with. However, Stardock Central is telling me my serial is invalid. On top of that, Stardock Central is crashing a lot.
What should I do?
