tab control of other docks

trying to create a dream desk......

I have not purchased ObjectDock Plus yet.....just checking out the free app before purchasing


1) does anyone know if i OD Plus can do this scenario:

tabs on left of screen, click 'web' tab

dock on top side of screen switches contents to web related shortcuts, dock on right side of screen appears with shortcuts to folders relating to web projects -OR- is actually a 'drive panel' containing live folders and files


I know I can do this with Talisman to customize my desktop, but it's a resource pig and slow - OD has better graphics etc.etc.

No. DX can do that but OD+ will not "remote activate" other docks. You can put "hot spots" in any corner(s) or along any side(s) which, on dragging your cursor thru that location, would "unhide" a certain dock which may work better than what you have in mind.

thanks, i forgot one other question -

can i

1) change the icon sizes of menu items for drop menus
2) set the dock 'contents' to a folder on my drive that contains all the shortcuts for a given 'category'

1. Drop menus seem to conform to standard menu constraints. I'm not aware of a way to change that except via windows itself. Fly out menus are iconized and I "think" they're tied to desktop icon size. I don't see anywhere to set their size in the config.

2. Not exactly sure what you mean......are you looking for a dock that dynamically updates as you put things in a folder or do you mean a dock that includes only items matching a certain criteria within a folder? Either answer is no as far as I know.
