What is the refresh rate on this forum?

Not that it matters much but I was wondering if anyone knew how often this forum updated itself to show the most recent post. It seems like I can refresh this page for twenty minutes before something I responded to shows up, other times it is almost immediate. Again, no big deal, but sometimes it can be annoying.

It does seem to be slower than usual over the past couple of weeks. Perhaps it's related to the recent forum changes, most of which have been very beneficial.

BTW I'll take the opportunity to check if the multiple link bug's been fixed.

Fortnightly

Now there's a fine word you don't see very often. Makes me want to start an off-topic thread on steampunk SF, not that I've read nearly enough...

Re the OP, it's always seemed "random" to me, but I assumed there were factors beyond my ken. I'd guess Mumble's also onto something re the recent improvements. I'm really glad you can read around easily without having to sign in now.

Hmmn it can be done but needs manually sorting

Yeah. I know. The web team is working on it the last I saw. I was just checking.

Also, I always thought speed limits should be in units of furlongs per fortnight, it makes you think you're going real fast (1 mph = 2688 furlongs per fortnight).
