How do I make Starbases mobile?

I traded for the tech but don't see how to use it. Can starbases be made to be mobil?

'Starbase Mobilization' uses the word in the sense of 'preparing for military action'. Starbases cannot actaully be moved.

Thanks - makes sense. Guess I'll have to cancel my plans for a swarm of heavily built-up Influencer Starbases...

You can make starbases mobile.... simply install Galciv1 and research terror stars.
Also you can move galactic recources into your territory by upgrading mining stations to Terror stars. But only in Galciv1, Galciv2 dousn't have them in an attempt to make the game more difficult. Personally i think they should have compensated the difficulty in some other way because Terror stars a hell fun!!!

No, the main problem was that the AI couldn't utilize terror stars.

And the Starbases inherintly never moved, I even gave them impulese drives they couldn't move.

No? uh um, the AI cannot utelise terror stars - yes, therefor giving the player an advantage. by removing this advantage you make the game more difficult. So i don't understand why you use the word 'no'?

I support the idea of getting moving starbases back into the game.

After all, we're playing a galaxy-wide civilisation with hundreds of billions citizens, if we have the will, the technology and the money to do it, I don't see how we couln't be able to build drives for our starbases.
It's just like a very, very big ship.

Although for some obvious reason I think this should be limited to military starbases only, the influence starbases attack would just be too lame.

Makes me wonder.... i think influence should be less significant and not be so easily manipulated with technology and starbase modules. It makes sense that trading starbases would exert some influence, military ones would reduce influence and influence starbases should simply not exist.

I think the main factors of influence should be population/proximity.

CRAPS! Another terrorstar debate, I personally are for terrorstars. Just watch out for George Lucas!
