None of the reistration screens will accept my serial number!
I now can't play the game, as I stupidly downloaded and installed the updates before I'd registered and am starting to suffer withdrawal symptoms...

Note that registering the game and activating it after you patch are different things, but both need a game serial (28 digits, 0-9 and A-F with no dashes) rather than a Collector's Edition content serial (begins with GC2-). Some boxes produced only included a CE serial rather than both, and if this is the case, you can trade your CE serial for a game serial at this page.
