You ever doing anything just really dumb?

I was sitting in a truckstop the other day and ordered some breakfast. The waitress, oops that's not PC these days, the SERVER brought me my food and asked if there was anything else I would like. I said "Yes, some silverware would be nice". As soon as I said it I saw the silverware laying right there. Her response was "You need more silverware?" with a pretty "This guy is really stupid" look on her face.

I made the excuse that "sorry, I'm not really awake yet" kinda thing and ate my breakfast without saying another word. I did leave a good tip lol.

So what about you? Done anything kinda dumb lately?

Not at all...there are just so many, that I can't think of which ones I should list...

But here one from the opposite end--I waittress parttime--there have been a NUMBER of occassions that I have asked guests "what can I get you to drink" when they clearly have drinks in front of them, or I'll say something like "have a good afternoon" when it's 10pm. And once I've realized I've said something dumb, I usually try to do damage control and my mouth just keeps on running uncontrolablly---usually making matters much worse!

Doing stupid things is like second nature to me...I remember once when I was at school and the bus was every hour, so I sat waiting for it and got bored so I got a book out and started reading it. I got so into the book that I didn't see the bus coming and it went straight past me:(. DUH!
