I have a simple question on updating and reinstalling.

I am using Version 1.2 and have currently save all the following updates V1.0, V1.10, V1.11, and V1.2 because what if in the future I want to install my Collectors Edition of Galactic Civilizations II on a new computer. Do I need to save each patch or update to be able to reinstall the program from scratch and then install each to get the full benefits and changes? Why is V1.31 no long downloadable? Thank you

No. Each patch includes everything from all prior patches, so you only need the latest, whether by the standalones or by SDC. Only the latest standalone patch is available here, though you can likely find older patches on third-party download sites if you want them.
