A few questions about the game

I have read the "Triumph of evil". Very nice story and pictures. I do have a few questions after reading the encyclopedia on the web.

1. Is it easy to manage the empire?
In a gigantic setup, I would guess there are hundreds of planets, hunderds of ships. How do you manage them? Is there a way to have some governors? For example in SEIV you can assign different AI to manage different planets and you only need to concentrate on a few essential places.

2. Is it easy to locate unit/plants?
From the picture, I can see the view area is not very large, and the mini-map is pretty small. Is it easy to get a big picture of your empire? In CIV it's not a big deal since you can zoom in/out the main map, and there are lots of landmarks. However, it seems to me all Gal-civ sectors look alike.

There are 4 governors who you can assign different build queues to. Any polanet can have a governor assigned to it. You can therefore make a standard governor, a frontier planet governor, a low class planet governor and a high class planet governor. Planets will then look after themselves and need only warn you when they've run out of projects.

There is a planet list which you can sort by a wide variety of options, such as class, population, military projects, social projects, moral, etc.. This allows for planets to be quickly located to suit your requirements.

There is also a ship list which lets you look for ships. this again makes finding those ships easy and sending them where you need. There are a number of interface tools which assisit in this, like the ability to bring up a tactical map (about 1/4 zoom of main map) and move ships directly from the ship list to positions on the main map.
