Download & Extraction

Hello everyone, Im new to all this and am overwhelmed.. There are alot of different file types and I cant seem to open them.. So my question is: How do I find or download the proper Install Utilities to be able to Extract and Install all these various file types.. Thanks alot.. Lathorians Excalibur
