Hardware and GalCiv & Dark Avator

3 questions:

1) Does a dual core processor speed up GalCiv compared to a fast one core processor?
2) Does GalCiv stand to gain from an upgrade from 1 gb RAM to 2 gb RAM memory (ceteris paribus the rest of hardware)?
3) How do GalCiv and Dark Avator compare in terms of demanding from your computer?

Thanks in advance for your (probably excellent) answers.

I will answer as i can

1)Yes switching from a single to a dual-core has sped up the game and stopped the lag later on when there were lots of ships to be moved. I have the basic dual-core and it is coping with the demands of DA without an issue. Teamed with a GeForce 7300 i have no graphical or gameplay issues and i only have 1gb of dual core 533 memory at present (at near $750 for 2gb it can wait a while ).

2) More memory is always good and DA does use a lot of virtual memory too.

3) DA at present uses significantly more virtual memory than the standard version did. If this will remain the same i do not know

Hope that helps some!
