Connection Issues

I'm getting pretty frustrated with Multiplicity. In theory its a great idea, in practice it's lacking. I've even tried the beta build and have the same issue.
If I do not bring the PRIMARY box online AFTER the secondary the connection never occurs. Both the primary and the secondary think they are connected but the mouse simply disappears off the screen on the primary. I've even tried unloading Multiplicity from both and restarting the service but it still doesn't work.
I have to completly reboot both which is frustation and should be unnecessary. What's the problem and is this ever going to be fixed?

What are the MP builds on both machines?

They MUST be the same.

As Zubaz said, MP version must be the same. Did you install MP on the secondary first then the Primary? Are you using a firewall? Did you open port 30564 in your firewall? You should not have any problems if your configured right.

Good questions but if MP is connecting sometimes, then these things must be in place, right?

On the secondary, find a file called MPVista.exe and delete it.

Then reboot the secondary.  Does this help?

You would think, but the first time I installed MP I had similar problems with getting connections sometimes and losing them sometimes. This all cleared up with the correct configuration on all parts (MP version, installed on secondary first, mouse drivers the same on all PC's, allowed connections through firewall. Things like these could mess with the connection right?
