Iraq is George W. Bush's Frankenstein

The result of the Bush policy in Iraq is very clear—He has created an ugly MONSTER that we can not control.

The Army we have spent over 3 years creating with billions of U.S. Dollars is proving to be only partially effective. Stories that show the ineffectiveness of the Iraqi Army are surfacing. The request by Gen Casey for an additional 8 battalions to be sent to Baghdad produced only 2 battalions. On any day sizeable portions of the Iraqi Army are either AWOL, sick or on leave. Units of the Iraqi Army refuse to serve in locations outside their home province. The number we have trained is impressive however the number that are reliable to deal with the violence is only a fraction of that total.

The police we have trained are showing that they have been infiltrated by the terrorist elements that are creating some of the violence in Iraq. The people do not trust many of the police we have trained and contribute to the fact that the Pugh Survey shows that over 70% of the Iraqi people want the U.S. Military to leave Iraq NOW!

The Iraqi Government the Bush policy enabled to come into power is moving closer to that of Iran which Bush calls one of the most dangerous enemies we face.

This is the Frankenstein Bush has created in Iraq. An ineffective military, a police force that is spreading terrorism, a government we will not be able to deal with and a people that have turned against our country! Add the millions of new Moslem enemies our invasion of Iraq has created and a picture emerges of an army of Frankenstein’s that are a DIRECT result of the Bush policy in Iraq.

You do understand that most of the country is secure, don't you? The problem with you col is you take the headlines from the NYT and write a blog about it. You do not take the time to look at the overall picture of Iraq. Just what the latest biased media headlines tell you. You write article about the same exact thing everyday. Bush is NOT going anywhere col.

Many of the most populated areas in Iraq including the capitol are just as I described. The Oil is not flowing, the electric is not on and the water is not working in far too many areas. Without stability, Iraq can not move forward. This country is moving closer to all out civil war every day. The ineffective military, the police force that is part of the problem, the feeling of the average person in Iraq and the type of government that has resulted in Iraq are all as I have described. It is the refusal to look at Iraq as it is not as Bush told us it would be that is the problem. Bush and those that support his policies live in the 51st state- the State of denial!
