Alliances & submission

Here is a different question about alliances - can you have three & four-way alliances? Galactic coalitions and what not? Will there be a Moo2 syndrom where Ally1 is constantly trying to make you declare war on Ally2, and if you don`t they`ll both go to war with you?

Also - is it possible to have 'alliances of submission' like in SMAC? Fiefdoms, protectorates, territories, autonomous self-governing zones?

hi
one way to win the game is to have an alliance with all the major races left, You will win when the next turn happens

and the a.i's can have an alliance against you, so watch out when you attack a race, your major trading partner might have to reluctantly declare war on you
