Campaign Crashes

Only the Campaigns

Okay, it seems pretty bizarre to me- but I'm unable to play the campaign- well, let's just say that the 4 times I've tried to play the campaign the game crashes - If I start up from where I last saved or where the last autosave was, it crashes again -

So far, I've not got passed the 3rd objective of the campaign.

I can play any other aspect of the game without a failure... I've played many games against the AI now, without a crash... but start the campaign and whoops there it is.

Do something that causes it to crash, then go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed the game at), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

OK, my game is doing the same thing, only it's any saved game i try to load. if i restart the mission in the campaign then it runs until i quit. If i save and quit though, the autosave, quicksave, any additional save or 'continue campaign' selection loads, then i select tech, then leave the open planet menu and 'click' DONE. Here's my *.err log.

Badgermonkey: you should try updating to 1.31 (or wait for 1.4, which should be out very soon). The patch is available on SDC or the downloads page, whichever you prefer to use.
