IE 7 Final To Be Released Today

Introducing the new, innovative feature of tabbed browsing!

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx

For those of you interested, our friends at Neowin tipped us off to the fact that Microsoft is putting up the final version of IE 7 for download today.  As of this moment, it's not posted yet, but it should be available for download from the Microsoft site before the end of the day.

It will be bundled in the update pack for the November Patch Tuesday for those of you who just want to wait for the automatic download.

IE 7 worked great for me but I have to agree with everybody else in that I don't like the toolbar lay out and not being able to set things up especially now that I am starting to make toolbar icons . I was also able to uninstall and when I opened up the net IE 6 was in use, I didn't have to do anything but reboot twice

This is strange,I clicked on the link & my Avast anti-virus came up with a warning that a virus had been found, it says it is VBS:Zulu.
Here is a link to a print-screen

I had stability issues with the IE7 betas (constant 'IE needs to close' errors), but the full release has been running very well all day and I'm happy with its performance. Okay, it might'nt be as customizable as earlier versions, FF and other browsers, but I like the fact it takes up less screen real estate that its predecessors and devotes more to web pages. I still like using FF, but IE7 most definitely will get more use than IE6 ever did.

Man I hate it when someone posts a screenshot and end up having to scroll horizontally to read posts. Either images need to automatically re-size or have links created for them. True I have a smaller display than I'd like, but certainly in this case it didn't need to be so huge.

It wasn't done on purpose, Man!
It was done quickly in case there was security issue.

I do apologise for the inconveniance but I just wanted to get the image up quickly in case it helped others & forgot to check size.

Well this sucks.... I was using the last release candidate with no problems. I downloaded the final, and rebooted... and now no IE.. .it pops up an IE window for a split second, hangs in the taskbar at half-wide size (that is, not even fully open) and then disappears.

I use firefox 99% of the time... but no IE is still bad.... I do have to use it once in a blue moon.

Ok, the beta made My machine run like crap... dumped it and went with FF. Now I figured I would give IE7 (final... NOT) a shot. Installed it and DAMN! Not only does it suck up all my processor time, but the damn thing hangs on pages fairly regularly. You Microsoft Boys, come on! Not like you haven't had YEARS to at least make this thing stable.

EXTREMELY dissappointed.

Could it be something on your PC? Like you, I had issues with the betas and RC1, but the full release of IE7 runs very well on my machine and sucks fewer resources than FF. Maybe an uninstall, clean up with Ccleaner and a reinstall could resolve your issues.
