Can't even install it.

I have tried using every install program straight from the disk. If I try installing it from my cd drive it just fails and offers to send great god MS an error report. When I run it from my dvd/cd drive the auto run produces a "Runtime error! Program G:\GC2Launch.exe This application has reaquested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

I would love to play this dang thing. It looks like a lot of fun. Somebody give me a clue. Thanks.

That is strange. Have you a good Internet connexion? If it is the case, you could use Stardock Central to download the whole game using your serial id.

I had the same Problem with GC 1 I needed to Download Stardock and launch the game from there...I was able to install the game from the CD but needed stardock to update and play...try it worst thing that could happen is that it doesn't work and you have to download it with stardock....

I think this error is addressed in the readme.txt file located in the game directory. Regardless, if you launch galciv2.exe instead of gc2launcher.exe, you should be good to go.

Thanks for the input. Fortunately I have a very good connection so I guess it's the down load. I'm going to look for the page to download it at. I did look in the readme file but my problem is not addressed. There is mention of AV issues and I addressed them, so that wasn't it.

Thanks. I had to download it and let Stardock do the work. That was the ticket.
