Skinning IE7 with WB5

Hi All,

Please excuse me if this has been answered elsewhere (I've had a look in the obvious places!), but when I install a skin in WB5 it all works ok, except the tabs in IE7 (its RC1 downloaded from the Microsoft website).  The rest of IE7 skins ok but it looks a bit odd with "default" tabs and is unreadable with dark skins and light fonts.

Does anybody else have this problem or know of a solution?

Many thanks

It's beta and the tabs are not supported by windowblinds. I am sure they will come in time.

I believe the tabs in IE7 on XP may well be hardcoded.  In which case they will not be skinning.

On Vista they are in theory skinnable, but due to a design issue they have a bar under them that is the same colour as the tabs and is not skinnable.

This happened to me also, Stardock answer was just to exclude. That does work, but I had a chance to to reformat & reload from scratch, if I loaded IE7 before I installed SD it works great. The other way around, tabs do not even show up??

Scott: You didn't happen to modify your IE originally to use vista style tabs on XP did you and then when you reinstalled you did not?

The install order makes no difference at all.

so, I have a question reguarding the ie7 tabs and window blinds....within window blinds, I switch to the per application section in order to add IE7 as an excluded application, but...I do not see the bottom area, the one where I can add exclusions...I only see the skin studio exclusion in the top section.

Did I miss something? somewhere?

Have you modified your system dialog font in the registry?

Some dialogs will be cut off if you do that.
