Restored Windows Invalid Serial or Machine SID?

Well i just restored windows XP on my pc and i have to go back and reinstall most of my programs. But when i reinstall GalCiv 2 From cd(was installed by download) it tells me the game appears to be validated but the serial number or machine SID dont match. Any ideas?

Delete the file sig.bin from GalCiv2's folder, and run the game to reactivate it. Each activation is keyed to the windows installation it is made on.
