Little customization

Hi,
I'm completely new to this [hardly a day or two old ].
When I activated most of the DX themes two problems occur:

1. The windows taskbar vanishes, but I need that [as there are standard Quick launches and one customized Quick Launch folder which I require every now and then]. So how can I keep it visible while keeping the theames loaded?

2. I can't add new objects to the desktop .

Friends I need your help desparately.

So please help.

Hi

First of all do you have do you have the free version or the paid version? In order to add objects to your theme you will need to be in the DesktopX Builder mode. You will need the paid version to do this...To change right click your desktop in the popup window click on DesktopX in the next window Click on switch to DesktopX builder. After it switches to DesktopX Builder Right click on desktop again then click on DesktopX builder, The next window will allow you to add objects or edit objects. In that same window click on (configure DesktopX Builder) Then go to the (Desktop) Tab . Uncheck hide windows taskbar.. If it IS checked.. Hope this helps..

Hey buddy,
Thanks a lot. It worked like a charm

One more thing, in DesktopX themes the windows do not take up the full space when maximised- this is not desireable for Browser windows as reducing of the work area is bit uncomfortable. So can it be changed?

Thanks again .

Your welcome...

Go to your desktopX builder settings again and on the same page where you unchecked (hide windows task bar).. "desktop Tab" click on where it says work area make sure that all the spaces have (0) in them..Each theme will have different setting according to the person that made the theme.. More then likely because your task bar was hidden it will have some like 45 in the space for the bottom just clear it and insert 0
