Game randomly crashes

Hi,

I hope somebody can help me with this. After updating my galciv2 (localized german version) to version 1.31, I get random crashes either when researching a new technology or when attacking ships or fleets.

Your video and sound drivers are from 2005. Update them both to the latest and reply here again if it still crashes.

I'd recommend downloading Smart Exception from Stardock Central (in the free stuff area).

If you have that running, it will provide information to us that we can use to track down a problem and find out if it's some sort of incompatibility or a bug in our code or something.
