Maximizing Productivity with Object Desktop

I've been an Object Desktop subscriber for long, long time, and I'm still looking for the answer to one question:  How can I maximize my productivity with Object Desktop.  Sure, I can set up all kinds of great eye candy, and make my Windows machine look nothing like what came out of Redmond, but, at the end of the day, what really counts for me is cranking out the code for which I'm being paid, and there's no amount of skinning that's going to help me there.

So, I throw it out to the community:  How do you use OD to actually get more out of your computer?  For me, the really big win is virtual desktops.

Well personally ObjectDock Plus just makes it quicker to find and start programs, folders, etc. That alone saves me a lot of time, and was well worth the investment for that reason alone.

DesktopX I use to display things like weather, package tracking, news, etc. All things I would have to actively search for on the web. Instead it's right on my desktop.

ObjectBar can change your life. It puts everything you need right where you need it. Links, shourtcuts, DX widgets, virtual desktops, RSS feeds, it does it all.

Try it, you'll like it.

A well set up RightClick menu can get you anywhere on your computer or open any program extremely fast. Enhanced file dialog can also save a ton of time when set to your needs. And of course ObjectDock is always another quick way to open a program. But RightClick is by far my most used for saving time.

I may have to try RC again. But I think OB will do it all (and more).

I had forgotten about Enhanced Dialog . . I'm so used to it I can't imagine working without it.

As a side note, the ThinkDesk suite has changed my work life even more. KeepSafe, ThinkSync and especially Multiplicity have made my life ever so much easier.

They say productivity increases when you're in a positive work environment. That includes an aesthetically pleasing workspace, helped along by Windowblinds, IconPackager, etc.

ObjectDock has been the greatest improvement to me. Since I don't have all those icons on my desktop, finding projects I'm working on is much easier, and less cluttered. Tabbed docks are a lifesaver.

One program I love to use is Keyboard Launchpad. Less mouse movement = faster productivity. Don't get me wrong, I love ObjectDock, but when you have one hand on the mouse and the other on the keyboard utilizing KLP's capabilities...*shivers*... well it's quite amazing.

This is such an easy question to answer:

The more I can bear to look at my computer...the longer I will remain at it, diligently working...If the toolbox is "readily available" instead of trapped inside a cascading menu...then I can grab what I need quickly(with a little practice and finesse, without even looking)
