No laser-shots shown in Battles

Hi Guys.

During Battles (Space or Planet) i can't see any laser-shots or rockets. The cannons aren't also turning on the ships. Is this ok so or can i change something in the Options? I hope you can help me.

The weapons themselves don't pivot, but there should be weaponsfire effects. Please post the contents of the debug.err file located in C:\Program files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed the game).
