Question about ships you have created in previous games

Can someone please explain how you can prevent ships designed in previous games to reappear in a new game? Do you have to delete them manually?

if you play with the same race you played when you created the ship, it will automatically be in your ship yard after you got the techs that allow the ship to appear.. (you know what I'm saying..)

ohh! just delete them! in \My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships
