Excalibur ships

These Excalibur ships... why can I never build them? I never even see the tech for it.

Do I need to play on a certain difficulty? Or be a certain morality? I have never once been able to build these... Even after i research ALL of the techs. I don't understand... This game confuses me so much :HOT:

Well, the immediate prerequisiste tech for excalibur tech is Near Omnipotence. This is the full tech tree so you can see exactly what you need: http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/fulltechtree.htm

Yes I have the bonus pack, but even after i have researched ALL techs, for some reason, I can never build an excalibur. Even after reasearching near omnipotence. Maybe I could try reinstalling the game or something. I'm going to do the whole tech tree one more time in game to see if im some how missing it...

It should be in a file called bonustechs.tech. The Excalibur ship itself should be in excalibur.ship. Looking through the .tech files is probably less of a hassle than researching the entire tech tree in game. Less likely to miss something, too, I'll bet.
