It seems that slowly people are discovering the reopened forums in advance of the competition announcement.    You're a determined bunch!

There is an announcement coming soon, with all sorts of juicy details on what this year's competiton is going to involve, but that's not for another week or so while we work on the site, the rules, and the fabulous prizes! 

In the meantime, enjoy the forums, chat amongst yourselves, and start sharpening those virtual pencils and begin planning your masterpiece skin.  The competition is soon to begin!

Hi All! I'm interested in participating in this years GUI Championships, I was wondering if someone could tell me how the Team work? I'd like to be on a GUI Team, that would be cool!

I'll have more on this on the front page later but essentially:
Individuals can affiliate themselves with a team.  Their work and submissions are under their name, but there is an additional team event at the end for the team with the best skinners.  Your work is still individual and not a group effort.  But, what you could do as a team is one person design a Wallpaper, another designs a matching icon set and another does the wallpaper.  That way your team has produced a partial suite through your individual contributions.

maybe its just me but i cannot download any of the skins? when i try, it just goes to a blank page and says done???

The site seems to have a big problem with firefox browser...downloads and forums are affected.IE seems to be ok.

I have found that the problem with FF and downloads comes and goes intermittently.

I'm having a problem. I use Opera 9, and I can't see any of the preview images. Makes it kind of hard to vote.
