Planets and ships have disappeared...

I recently changed some options in Galciv2 and now the planets and ships have disappeared. I tried setting the options back but to no avail. Has anyone encountered this problem before? The problem exists with all save games and new games. The options I changed involved ambient light, "show grid" and the number of starts and nebula density... I can't see why this would have screwed up showing planets and ships. Now all I get is the mini-icon for whatever it is, but not the actual model.

Try deleting the Prefs.ini file, located in your My Documents\Games\GalCiv2 folder.

This will force a default file to be created the next time you start the game.
Then just go back in and reset your resolution and anything else you need to set.
Then exit and restart the game like normal.
