Corky_O, I can't reproduce the same problem in Reply #21 using your directions.

I'm still working on 'Issue #2'.

Ok the link issue should be fixed. I've been hitting my head against the wall for three days trying to find the error in my regular expression, turns out that I forgot to tell the dialog that it needs to wrap quotes around the url in the [ link= opening tag. I love it when I force my dialogs to not adhere to my own bbcode rules.

I really have to get some kind of a legend going for that...

It must be something on my home notebook then, as I can logon with no problem here from work in same version IE browser. Perhaps the infamous NIS 2006 is creating issues at home.

Note - I can sort it by closing/re-opening the browser and opening WC site.

Thanks for looking into the "Issue #2".

Fairry, you probably want to post that issue as a new post and not under the *Forum Bug Thread*. The forums run a completely different codebase from the rest of the wincustomize website.

ok..i forgot forum is running separate.

Forum Issue:
But I am having an issue with watched posts that never happened before . When i recieve an email notification about a watched post having new activity - when I click the link on the email it opens the IE6 browser - I get to forum - scroll almost to the bottom then get a message error on my screen about IE6 is unable to access WC Forum and must now close. I cant do anything but hit the " ok " button then IE closes down. This is happening with all email notifications to forum.

I use FF when in forum normally without any problems - but the links on email open IE 6 and I have no choice on that . But it never was a problem before.

I'll keep an eye out for this but I've definately never seen that happen before, and this is the first time that's been reported.

I've found that I cannot "Submit Files" with Opera 9.01 I've tried several times and it always sticks saying I must include both a screenshot and the file even tho I have. I finally tried to upload with IE and it went right thru so it's a browser issue.

The item I mentioned in #14 above seems to be happening with some regularatiy now. I believe I've had it occur 4 times in the last 2 days. i've noticed that just after it happens the "All Recent Posts" list (page 1) is only 10 items long and no matter how many times I refresh or click the shortcut at the bottom of the page it stays that length. Opera 9.01 build 8552

I am unable to create a double-post. that was one of my favorite features or the old forum. Will it be re-enabled?

I'm pleased to report that after working with Zubaz, we've finally debugged the 'Email (username)' function issues. That feature should be working properly now.

This is forum page i was viewing a few minutes ago;

WWW Link

This is SS of the bottom part of page - I only noticed because I saw my name mentioned on several threads. But none of those threads are by me nor have I posted on the 3 that have my name after them. No biggy but I look like a blabber mouth.

Looks like something was throwing the layout off. What browser are you using, what resolution are you running at, and how large is the browser window?

FF 1.5.0.6

1024 resolution.

Browser is fully expanded ...i think thats what your asking ?

You mean that your browser window is maximized?

edit

I switched my resolution to 1024x768, opened the latest ff, maximized the window, visited that URL. Couldn't reproduce the issue. The layout looks correct and all 'Last Reply Info' fields look correct. It looks like the ss you took was while the page was misrendered, as if some element was throwing off the rest of the page layout. That may be what was confusing you. Otherwise, chalk it up to a temporary glitch.

I'm unable to reproduce that layout problem on IE, FF or Opera running at 1024x768. Chalk it up to a glitch with your FF install, or some custom rendering setting you may have turned on.

yes - maximized...this glitch only appeared when I changed from the full days posts that showed on page 1 - when i clicked " next "
Everything else was ok.

I havent tried it yet today - but just now I rebooted and opened forum and as the page goes down - the text gets distorted in places. I saw this yesterday and is still present today.

this was url:

Hopefully it fixes itself...I havent changed anything and it only started yesterday.

Its not bothering me that much - just figured Id report it in case it was happening to others.

Firefox 1.5.0.6

https://forums.wincustomize.com/?g=search

The forum list is under the "Reset Fields" button and overlaps the search results.

Also, above the search results there is the following text that looks like it is missing content: Search Results for : ''

Thanks for the heads up, should be all fixed now. Pesky ff!

Here's how the forums look for me:

Note that the titles in the blue boxes on the left are uneven in addition to the spacing problems in the forum headers. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.6 at 1280 x 1070. Desktop Display fonts are set to normal size. My Firefox fonts are set to to use Arial with a minimum font size of 16.

The main wincustomize page has spacing problems too but that's another thread.

I'm sorry, but we can't predict, nor allow for every custom font configuration out there. With a default install of Firefox 1.5.0.6 the forums look exactly as they should. The discrepencies with the layout you're seeing are a direct result of Firefox either ignoring or circumventing the css which dictates that font size.

This probably doesn't count, but the forum appear to be stuck - not updating

There are some database/filesystem issues that T-man is trying to fix at the moment. No ETA either. Please be patient.
