Usually first place I check is wincustomize - which is probably why i get antsy when I cant log in - yahoo - well im always checking that out as well and skinnilicious , skinning dot net , DA etc.

I check 5 sites everyday 1)Passwird (love the links to great deals), 2) Filehippo (always need to see want software has been updated), 3) VersionTracker (see #2) (the freeware page), 4) Del.icio.us (to find new cool tutorials, helps and other random crap), and of course 5) Wincustomize. It is not a good day if I don't check them at least once.
