serial number problem

when i re-installed galactic civ2 it didnt ask me for my serial number and let me play, now i updated the game to 1.2 it says "The product appears to be validated but the serial number or the macine SID don't match."

Did you reinstall Windows? Deleting your sig.bin file (in your GalCiv2 directory) and re-activating will probably fix the problem.

yes i reinstalled windows. i deleted the sig.bin file and it worked. thanks
