Versions? 1.2 and 1.0x.2

Different Collector's Edition Downloads?

Hi all,

after I got through the serial number hassle (european collector's edition) I directly patched to version number 1.2.
Then I got over to the collector's edition downloads. There are three different files there, the differences between them are not easily clear to me:
- Galactic Civilizations II Bonus Pack
- Enable Collectors Edition Content only (Windows 9x/2000/XP)
- Install Galactic Civilizations II Desktop Enable Collectors Edition (Windows XP or later)

I decided to download the bonus pack first and now my version number on the main screen of the game shows 1.0x.2. This seems to be an earlier version than patch number 1.2 would indicate or am I wrong here?

If anyone can shed some light on the three different downloads of the collector's edition, I would be very glad, too.

Version 1.2 contains the content from the bonus pack and the collector's edition.  So you would just need to enable the colletor's edition content.

You are going to need to re-install Version 1.2, and I would recommend doing a complete re-install to make sure that all the files are the correct version.

So I just need to run the 105kb file from "Enable Collectors Edition Content only (Windows 9x/2000/XP)" after the re-install and re-patching?
