So I've been playin' Starwars Galaxies right? For anyone that doesn't know what this is it's a first person shooter of Starwars. Gameplay is like Battlefield 1942.

So I was wonderin' what it would be like if it was in the Galciv universe...

Drengins shooting Torians, Drath sniping Altarians, Humans outsmarting Drengins into a minefield, ect.

Kinda off topic, but WOW wouldn't it be cool?

P.S. I hope they have better planet invasion in Galciv2 expansion. Like, different armor and tanks.

I've heard terrible, terrible things about Star Wars Galaxies, but I'd *love* to see a well-done space opera MMO (besides Eve). I'd certainly play such a game set in the GalCiv universe.

Starwars Galaxies isn't the greatest. It's really a rip off of Battlefield 1942. I played it at a friend's house FYI.

SWG was quite good before the "Combat Upgrade" and ESPECIALLY before the "New Game Experience." The CU was survivable, and in some respects it actually did improve the game... the NGE just ruined anything good and made the bad worse. This is coming from a player who experienced it all.

Really, Battlefront (which is REALLY a ripoff of Battlefield 1942 complete with hard-to-pilot air/space craft) is a good game, but I don't like LucasArt's ripoffs of previously made games (Galactic Battlegrounds was a ripoff of Age of Empires complete with the engine, Battlefront is a ripoff of Battlefield complete with similar names). The best LucasArts game I've seen in a long while is Empire at War, the RTS. IT's different from other RTSes but in some ways similar... it's a lot like GalCiv 2, but much less in-depth with more battle tactics involved (and no diplomacy, etc of course).
