follow ships on autopilot does not work/ small map in lockstep with big map

I upgraded to 1.2 beta 2 and now the follow ships on autopilot option no longer works. This really creates problems for tracking ships in big games. Also, the small grid map now moves every time you change locations on the big map. This creates severe playablility problems in routing ships to specific targets. The game was much more playable when the small map didn't move with the big map. Please fix these bugs ASAP.
