Can't get complete WB

Hello Everybody, I can get all but the wall paper when I download a WB 5.It seems to keep a previous wallpaper but I get the rest of the download. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

for those that do, make sure 'use the wall provided' is checked in WB configuration.

If there is a Wallpaper supplied with the WB then you could try opening the WindowBlinds Configuration screen, select Basic Settings from the left side and under Enhance Desktop elements make sure a check mark is besides "Apply any wallpaper supplied".

Thanks guys for your responses.I am a newbie to the pc aand I do not know how to check the config.your talking about. I am downloading windowblinds from WinCustomize. Is that any different than WB5? Can you walk me thru to show me about the config. situation?

right click the WB system tray icon and with the left mouse button choose 'cofigure windowblinds'
(unless you moved your task bar around the system tray is in the bottom right hand of the screen, where the clock is)

when it opens, on the left under 'settings' choose 'basic settings'

then on the right under 'enhance desktop elements' make sure the little box next to 'apply any wallpaper supplied' is checked.

I am downloading windowblinds from WinCustomize. Is that any different than WB5?


WindowBlinds from WinCustomize would be the skins.
WB5 would be WindowBlinds 5, the program needed to apply said skins.

In order to apply any WB5 skins, you need to first install the Windowblinds Program (Link). You'll want WindowBlinds version 5 if your PC is running WindowsXP, version 4.6 for any other operating system. The trial versions are free but time-limited (60 days I think) and not all skinning features are enabled.

After installation of the program you must reboot your computer. Once you do, an icon should appear in the System Tray that looks like a painter's palette with a brush - right click on that and select "Configure WindoBlinds" from the popup menu. Spend some time exploring the Configuration dialog - most things are straightforward & easily understood. Post back with additional questions if necessary.

Thanks guys again! I found the config. and it is checked. Let me try and explain a little deeper . A few days ago I downloaded "Dusk", I gotten everything including wallpaper. For the heck of it I changed the wallpaper to a wallpaper from Visual Creations, did not like it so I tried to downloading "dusk" again but I get everything from that except "Dusk's wallpaper, The Visual Creations wallpaper stays there. What did I do, or what should I do to correct my error? Remember I am new so bare with me, I just can't leave well enough alone sometimes.

Read the skin's description carefully. Normally, if a wall is included it will be mentioned. If you are referring to Dusk by JATdd no wall was included with the WB.

Sometimes a wall isn't included to cut down the download size and may be in the wallpaper gallery (If one was created to go with the skin).
