Extract the zip file to your galciv2 folder:

can you specify what folder to put it in CC.

The zip file contains the file/folder structure. Extract the file to your /program files/stardock/totalgaming/galciv2 folder.
This will place the file into your /galciv2/gfx/models folder.

I will change the wording in the instructions above.

That worked, the sun is back to normal size. Thanks CodeCritter. I wonder why some people are not getting this error though? The file size difference was pretty big with the one I had and the one You posted.
The one I had was only 57kb.

And It took me only 8 minutes to load the galaxy this time.. on version 1.11 it took less than 3 minutes to load a Gigantic galaxy.

My entire game crashed at startup. I am reinstalling from CD and will download the SDC update and the new zip file.

I sent a debugg.err to gc2bugs

Just an update and the above problem.

deleted all then reinstalled from CD then downloaded from SDC No problems.

I am playing an old game created under 1.10.029 The save game loaded and played without any problem even with the new sphere.x file.

Did not try to create a new game. I did try 1280x1024 and 2000 x 1024 multiplle monitor ssetups and they worked.
