Control issues

Hey all, I am loving this game, but am having a boit of a control issue. I can move the galactic map around, but I cant get it to lock in a view that I change it to manually. I got it to stick once, but I have no idea how I got it to stay, any advice on this?

In the options, you can set a specific option called "snap back to view" or something. It means whenever you rotate, it reverts to the original view. Disable this, and the view reverts.
