Install Bonus Pack after 1.11 causes bugs ?

Well, I don't know if this's the right place to post this, but I couldn't find any better place.

Do I have to install the Collector Edition which includes

GalCiv2_10X_BonusPack_030806.exe
Enable-GalCiv2-Collectors-Edition.exe

before I install 1.11 update ? Since when I installed 1.11 updates first and then install those two, it seems that some features of 1.11 is lost, such as the week needed to go to a destination which is added in v1.11 or 1.10. Also the version of the game is 1.0x instead of 1.11.

What you're trying to do is install 1.0X on top of 1.11... an earlier update installing over a later one is going to cause problems. You don't need to install 1.0X at all, I'd have thought.

No, what i'm trying to install is the Collector Edition, not 1.10 update, the bonus pack will add many feature into the game and doesn't like 1.10 update.

You should be fine with:

What you SHOULDN'T be installing is:

GalCiv2_10X_BonusPack_030806.exe

The version number is right there in the filename. 1.11 includes all the changes from 1.0X

im trying to upgrade galciv2 with the serial # that came with the game but it will not let me do this there for can not use the game it say that GC2 at the begin of number will not work can you help me.

I don't get it, why would the Galciv2_10X_Bonus pack cause problems? wouldn't the 1.11 patch overwrite it? if so, how do you get the bonus stuff to appear then?

I'm probably confused because I don't have the full game yet,

smjjames, if you install the 10X bonus pack before 1.11, there probably won't be problems, but if you update to 1.11 first, there will be.
