Multiplicity Primary Unloads/Crashes

from Stardock Forums

I am new to the forums and the software so please forgive me if this has been asked and answered before. I have setup the trial version and get connected just fine. I have Multiplicity setup to "key" off of the Scroll Lock and it works flawlessly. However, after about 3 or 4 minutes, Multiplicity (on the primary) appears to just unload itself.. I get no crash, no errors, it just unload itself and the running program icon disappears from the System Tray.  I have also checked the Service and the Service is setup for Automatic and is still "running"..

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What version?
What type of network?
Anything in the event log?

Version 1.02


Windows(XP) Networking (without WinXP firewall)


Nothing in the Event Log


I Have also found that I can get the program to "unload" itself by tracking the mouse all the way to the right edge. As sson as the cursor hits the edge the program unloads.

It sounds like your trial version has expired.

Where did you download the build from?  There was an old trial build which expired December 2005 and I am wondering if you somehow have downloaded that one.

Running v1.02 I downloaded yesterday(5/11)  from C/Net. The download file was named muliplicity_public.exe

What is the date on multipl.exe?

Also is your system date correct? (check month & year)

File Date is 7/13/2005 ...Clock / Date is set correct.  Is there somewhere besides C/Net to dwonload the Trial?

Nakor .. that link doesn't work.


 


However I did find a copy on download3000.com that had the 12/21/05 version and that seems to be working so far. Thanks all for the replies.
