Giving new meaning to Rising From The Dead

The Chinese have always had a tradition, going back to feudal times, of burning money at a loved one's funeral.  The reasoning is so that they will not go wanting in the hereafter.  But with the new found wealth of a middle class, apparently some Chinese are burning more than just money!

Over the past two years, officials have discovered people burning paper offerings of the potency drug Viagra, their mistresses and even “Supergirls” — dolls modelled on winning contestants of the hugely popular Pop Idol spin-off on Chinese television, Supergirl.

Viagra?  The Quicker pricker upper?  It does give new meaning to the term, rising from the dead. Hehehehehe

hmmmm... I wonder if the term 'stiff' (referring to a dead person) came from this?

Oh goodness, manopeace, that was a splendidly horrible pun.

I think that we should start burning other things, too . . . food, pictures of nice cars, and of course, the latest issue of Maxim.

Actually, if you read the article, the Chinese are afraid it is escalating to that.  Not the Maxim, but all the rest!

I wonder what there is to look forward to in an afterlife where you can't get it up without a pill. I wonder if the suicide bombers take that precaution. What a tragedy, dozens of virgins and nothing to poke them with...
