Hi Frogboy,

Today i play the Game 5 Hours ,NO CRASH!.
I have pure Fun,Its a very good Game.I hope in Future there will be more great Games ,Addons with a Space Scenario like this.

HMM,one Hour later: when i save the Game almost every time Crash with out of memory Error.
I tested ,when i starting a Game in Ver.1.0 or 1.1 beta the Game will have ca. 700 mb ram(300 mb physical
and 350-400 virtual Memory). Time to load a Save <1Min.
In Ver. 1.1 Final : The game will have ca.1850 mb ram( 300 mb physical and 1550 mb Virtual Memory ram).
Time to load a save > 4 MIN!
Is this a Bug? i think 1,55 gb Virtual ram bye Gamestart is very much.
In all games i play with giant galaxy, all options also species, planets i set to max.

I have a request! Can you please fix the "undocumented feature" that causes the game to crash while playing a gigantic universe? That "feature" did not seem to be included in the previous versions of GalCiv. Not sure why it had to be included in this one. Truly makes the game unplayable. Currently installed version 1.10.027.

Thank you.

"Fleet Manager Screen added to manage stacks of ships and fleets that are on the same tile more easily"

As I understood it, the goal of the fleet manager was to allow you to easily manage the ships *and* give you all the normal options that a non-stacked ship would have.... and yet I must be blind or stupid because I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the "upgrade" option, easily one of the most important commands for a ship.

I can't imagine that after all this patching and testing I *still* would have to remove a ship from a fleet, and then move it to a different square, just to use the upgrade option.

What am I missing?

There must be a way. In my current game, I watched the defenders of a planet I flipped, fly a few squares away and start upgrading on the same square. I don't remember if they were still in a fleet or not.

No, a human cannot do it. The AI can because it's simply calling the upgrade function and doesn't need to click a button.

Hmm, maybe its one of the new hotkeys. I still haven't seen a list. =/

Version 1.1 looks great. I was wondering if you guys were planning on updating the computer manual in the intro screen. It sure would be nice to have an manual update from 1.0. Thanks for the good work.

All the little UI tweaks are really nice, cheers. Although, as others have mentioned, upgrading remains clunky and horrible.

Crashing to desktop trying to resume a campaign... from 1.x0 - version from installed CD's...

So, some kind of save-game incompatibility? I really don't want to have to replay the first two campaign missions!

It is great. but i hope i could change the names of the opponents civ, like in GalCiv 1. Maybe the next update.

I am really getting #$%&@## off with game developers that are pushing On Line registration to activate a game I purched LEGALLY off the shelf. Requiring On Line registration for activation should be stated clearly on all the game boxes!!! This way I can avoid purchasing such #$%&@## games.

I have no internet connection at home because the cost for broadband cable connection is too high. Only broadband can be seriously considered now days because the #$%&@## huge file sizes of these #$%&@## game patches.

After I have installed the upgrade, the savings have gone haywire. Can't save a thing, the only exception is the campaign.

Help!

Ping, you don't have to have an Internet connection on the machine you are instaling on.

But yea, we do reqiure users register to get the free updates beyond 1.0X. Just follow the indstructions on the dialog that pops up and you can get set up pretty quickly.

By registering, you can later redownload the entire game years from now long after your CDs are lost or damaged or whatever.
