Tri-Strontium-Armor

I just noticed that Tri-Strontium-Armor and Tri-Strontium-Armor II have exactly the same stats that is:

Size 6 Cost 70 Defense 3

Shouldn't there be a difference to reflect the advance in technology?

The size mod is different, so when you get to a huge ship, Tri-Strontium Armor II will be smaller.
