Is it WinFX, WB, or OD?

Transparent

I can't seem to remember how to UNDO the transparent windows startbar.
When I mouseover, it becomes opaque again, but I can't remeber how to undo the transparency.

Could someone please help?

Try a different WB skin. I am pretty sure that's the ticket.

Nope, Tried them all in my collection. Startbar is still transparent.
Went through all the settings in WinFX and OB.
I just can't seem to located the option that should say, "Make startbar transparent" and "Make Opaque(solid)on Mouseover"

It's a setting in WinFx. Open Configure WinFx. Go to Application Transparency

Woop-- probably not what you want after all.

It's in the same place as menu transparency... can't find that either *scratches head*

From Neil on my thread about this setting disappearing in latest WindowFX beta

This appears to be a bug with that build of WindowFX. The new popup task switcher page seems to have made the other page vanish.

I'm glad I'm not 100% loopy-- could have sworn I saw it there before...
I hope it didn't get dropped between updates-- there has to be a way for this poster to change her settings

I don't have anything that says Transparency Effects.
My FX menu option regarding transparency say "Application Transparency" then ask you add modify or remove specific applications. Since I never added any, I don't have any to modify or remove.
Transparency Effects is what I had been looking for, as that's what I THOUGHT it was under, but can't find it anywhere. Seems that my recent install of the Beta version caused the disappearance of that option.

I'm sure gald you said that. I could have SWORN it was a WindowFX setting and thought I was just suffering from a computer glitch that made it go away. I can live with it longer if it's going to be one of the kinks that's worked out when the final version comes out. Glad I wasn't just suffering a memory lapse.

In the mean time, if anyone DOES discover how to remove the transparency of the startbar/taskbar - Please let me know.

Do you still have the archive to reinstall the previous version or just use star central to uninstall and this time don't select beta versions , failing that you need to buy a new comp and i'll have that one your on now mwaaaaaaaa i luv it when a plan comes togeather

I'm not sure if I have the archive. I used stardock Central to install it and the beta too.
If I uninstall, then won't I loose all the cursors that I have downloaded?

As far as the computer goes. I just got this one. It's less than a month old. So I think I'll keep it a few more years. HOWEVER, I could do with a faster processor or maybe it's the old hard drives that need updated to some new ones that run faster. Hmmmm Interesting!

Do you have 'suto archive' checked - down at the bottom of SDC?

You can also go to 'tools' 'restore archive' - wait a few minutes and the box will open with the list of archiveds. peruse the list and see if it's in there.

I uninstalled the current version of WinFX and downgraded.
That fixed the problem. Thanks
