To begin Round 2...or 3?

The other day I was watching one of my favourite comedian/actor, Bill Bellamy on Comedy Central. He had a one-man show, "Back to my Roots". If you guys didn't see that show, keep an eye out for a rerun because he is hilarious! I laughed so hard I cried at some of the stuff he talked about.

His humor is pretty refreshing because he speaks of life experiences, like some of the others do, but his style is so refreshing!

Part of his routine was about sex - don't they always include that?!LOL! His routine was like this:


"What is it about women they can't just have an orgasm? Everything has to be perfect....

Giving head, some women don't like doing it...yet they expect you to have fun with them....

You're stuck with the dick you got. Every man thinks his dick his big or not. Aska a woman but don't let me fuck up your relationship!....

Women, don't have an orgasm and not tell your man. Sometimes we have no idea that you did. It makes a man feel good to please his woman!"



And other jokes like that. He was just too funny!


Basically, everything that he mentioned above can have their own blog! I could write quite a few on any of those! He did expand on them though and I don't remember everything he said in detail. I actually had my notebook with me at the time because I was doing something and decided to note some of the things he talked about because I planned on doing this blog.


One of the most notable thing he said I found interesting because my husband (who wasn't with me at the time) and I discussed this very subject a few weeks before I saw that program. Bill asked, How long is normal to start round 2?

My hubby said he and his friend was talking about that because now that they are older, (in their 40s, his friend was wondering what was normal, and how much he missed not being able to just go at it like spring chicken immediately after climaxing - especially since his wife would he rearing to go and he wouldn't he ready right away).

I can relate to the topic. Sometimes depending on how much rest my hubby has had, it can be right away or it can be 30 mins or more! So the older men get, the more time they need to rest. If they don't take that little pill that is, Viagra.) And the older women get, the more they are aware of their sexuality and it's up to the husband to keep up!



And I'm not suggesting that a man can't handle his woman or anything like that, it's just that women are more into their needs now and will sometimes have to give directions! If a man cannot take directions or doesn't like his wife/woman doing that, then I don't think that will make for a good sexual relationship at all. Bill even admitted that he doesn't mind when his wife gives him directions!


So I guess 30 minutes is normal for starting round 2 and if it's longer, I guess your wife/girlfriend will be sleeping! That happened to me once, I told my hubby, do not move, I'm just running to the bathroom. What do you think he did? Went outside to smoke! That took some time, by the time he got back I was snoring away! Haaha....



So if you're not too timid to respond to this blog, what's normal for you, or what do you think is normal?

Not too timid.  I wish men were as virile at 45 as they are at 20.  I hate that!  But I have learned to accept it.

I usually like a good two-hour interval, but I can get started sooner if she's willing to accept a slightly longer and more attentive foreplay period (her being more attentive to me, that is).

Another thing that works for us is starting Round Two immediately upon completion of Round One, but leaving "Mister Wang" on the bench and using other... techniques... instead.

30 minutes is considered to be the "norm" for a relatively healthy man age 25-35.  Of course, some will be shorter, others longer.  But that is the average.  It does get longer as men age and will also be influenced by the man's cardiovascular health.

What's round two? I've been waiting until the next day. Something is going to have to change around here. There was a time when we were young rabbits that we would go, go, go but now not so much.

In my case, and I'm not ashamed to say, round 2 often never happens. And if it does, it is usually at least a 1/2 hours after round 1.

Thanks for not being too timid! I think my hubby will agree with you. Although there are times when he's just too much!! All I have to do is look at him funny and he's rearing to go!!

True. My husband is pretty fit, although he's 49 now, he's ok, but like I mentioned, if he's tired, forget it!

Well Maso, quite normal if you lead a busy life. And 30 mins is quite normal as the Doc, Dev said, so you're good to go!

But at my and my wife's age (42-ish) sometimes just the once is enough to keep us both happy. Sometimes it is nice just to lie in each other's arms and not get all hot and sweaty. Damn, I couldn't imagine myself saying this 20 years ago, but I guess this is what age does to a man.
