My start menu looks like this: http://pandabuu.pa.funpic.de/3aheli_uploads/wbscreen.jpg

But it should look like this: http://www.deviantart.com/view/31720762/

Well.. You'll notice those grey background at my menu items.. how to remove them?

Thank you

per pixel in the trial version only works with the skins supplied with the trial version

If you are using the 30 day trial version of WB5, than some skins you download (mainly ones with semi transparancy in the boarders, start menus, right click menus, etc.) will NOT look as they should. This is because in the trial, you can't use the per pixel (transparency).

Now you may be wondering... "but I can in some skins". This would be because the skins that COME WITH the download can use per pixel with the 30 day trial version. Sorry if that's confusing .

Now, if you are using the full, paid version of WB5, and this is still happening, I would contact the author of the skin. See if they can help.

Good luck trying to fix your problem with this skin.

where to enable per pixel?

enabled by default - per in WB configure, system information, there is an option to disable (make sure it's unchecked)

have you tried using the skin's different substyles?

There is only the Default-Style. This is driving me crazy..

The System Information says: "Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins." Haha ...

Really strange tho, tryed as good as everything now but its still not working.. :/ maybe i should just try an other skin and be happy.

dates and times seem off/old - try updating WB
Reply #11 Top
These are the only two of yours which matching dates to mine.

Wbhelp.dll 2004/09/18 15:37:00

Tray.dll 2005/11/02 13:28:26

Your tray.dll time is an hour off from mine which would be time zone. Your wbhelp.dll is 2 hours off from mine.

Since you're not showing as a customer and the times and dates are way off from what I'm used to seeing, I have to enterain the possibility you either have a crack or had a crack and didn't fully remove it. Doesn't mean I'm right, just means I find thinking of someone having self induced crack problem entertaining (in a sad kinda way).

But I'm also willing to indulge the notion you a mix of version files.

go into skinstudio to start panel. go to user panel and places list. make sure transparency and translucency are enabled. they should be. next make sure the files are .tga or .png; not .bmp. adjust sizing margins to exclude the shadow. if that doesn't work, edit the shadow out the panels. and yes i am a plumber! for real!
