new to WB.

Help with "Select Data Source" Screen

Hey all, There is probably a simple answer to this,however iv'e read all the posts and i can't find an answer. Anyway, After installing WB 5 and rebooting, the WB5 select data source screen appears...I have no clue as to what to enter in the following fields: *"File data source tab" has a "look in" field, what do i enter there? and a "DSN Name" field. It also has a "Machine data source" tab. Can someone please help with this ? I would greatly appreciate any help offered...Thanx! P.S. I have downloaded over 60 skins and they were all working with the "free" version of WB...lol, now there not even showing up?

You have an old build of WB.

Get a new build.

No. The message relates to the way WB was keeping track of what skins were installed & where they were located. It used an .ini-based method for all prior versions but SD changed to a jet database method with an early version of WB5. Turns out jet database installation is optional during Windows installation, is often not installed by default on OEM Windows rigs and is often not installed by individuals doing a Windows install. This was quickly problematic for many people and SD reverted to the .ini-based method. The fact that you got that message means the jet database engine is not installed.

Easiest thing to do is get the current version of WB.

is there any other way of getting around this?...can i just put the required info in the fields?

ok....thanx.....btw..the reason i asked if there was a workaround is that my net access is down atm, im having to borrow my sisters rig and she is leaving this evening....she has her DL access passworded and i cant get in touch with her till her boyfriend comes back to pick her system up....if she comes with him at all.
I live in a very rural environment and its hard enough to get stable access to the net.....anyway thanx for the help....i guess ill have to wait awhile till they get my access back up and running to d/l the newest version...appreciate the info
