No Text on any of the buttons in this game...

i've just downloaded this game and am in the process of downloading the multimedia, being impatient i tried to play the game, and everything works okay except there is no text on any of the buttons, not even at the start up menu..

any ideas?

I have the exact same error, both installing from my CD's and then upgarding to beta2 or downloading it all from stardock manager give this problem for me. I didn't had that problem in beta, I'm using the english european version. 1

Proberbly your best idea is to download and install the entire game, that might solve your problems of features missing.

That is the thing I did, I'm now using the downloadable version from stardock and it still gives the same problems. I first thought it was related with the european version but appearently it is not, for the downloadable stardock version(I believe that is the US version right?) has the same problems.

In that case, then I'm not sure. Have you tried updating your drivers? Since I'm running the US version, I don't know if there is a differance.

Posting your debug.err would help. It is in your GalCiv2 folder and can be opened with notepad.
