0=10 billion

I attacked a planet with 5 billion people with a transport with 1 billion. It just so happened then that combat odds we're exactly 25:5 so both sides had 0 guys left. Except that after the battle, the planet suddenly had 10 billion people instead of 0.

Are you sure it wasn't 10 million? I do believe that is a safety mechanism to prevent a crash or jsut give a planet some population to grow, ebcause if the planet was left with 0 people it wouldn't ahev any population growth.

I have had this bug show up too, but its purely a display bug and in reality there is not 10 billion people on the planet. It just displays as 10 billion on the galaxy map, but if you invade again you will be facing a few hundred people and win easily.

Also, if you have the espionage level to zoom in on the planet you will see the real pop number which is something like 0.01 billion.
