Problems with Drengin Game Manager

I am having troubles connecting with DGM. It has been asking me to register. Then it is unable to connect.

The one time it did connect, it did not give me the option to update GalCiv to Beta 4A.

Any help would be appreciated!

Another problem with the DGM - which could be related - it fails to wait for the dial-up connection process to complete. It brings up the request for registration screen before the dialup protocol has completed. This used to work correctly.

And a thankyou to Pat for getting the download progress information in. It now displayes the current file being downloaded with the file size and amount downloaded. Thanks Pat!

Programs which uses much CPU-power like Fractal programs or the Seti@home program slows DGM down to a crawl and in many instances makes it so slow that it seems non-functioning. So be sure you have turned such programs off while running DGM.
I guess it is a bug in DGM, because the Object Desktop component manager works fine with those programs loaded...... PAT :-)
