I only want to update my game to the latest patch

How the hell do i use this stupid SD Central program? It tells me my GalCiv2 code is invalid. It copied it exactly from the back of the manual. Hey, it worked when signing up to these forums so why the hell wont it work to get the updates? I click on the 'Free update to 1.0x' or whatever on the home page and it takes me to some other useless page which doesn't help at all. Then I noticed 'Did you buy the game in Europe?' link so I clicked there, entered my code, it worked and i got sent a new one for the bonus stuff. But AGAIN that one does not work in the stupid central downloader thing. Is there no .zip or .exe file anywhere on this website I can just download? I mean its so much easier and its what every other game Ive got has. Paradox always do it like that, no fancy crap downloader there.

The key you got from the site should work. Make sure you're putting it into the right place in SDC - I spent half an hour putting it into 'games subscription' rather than galciv2. Also make sure you didnt copy any whitespace when you copied it, or if you copied it by hand triple check everything.

The key should indeed work, however there are a couple of reasons it could go wrong. Make sure you enter your account information in stardock central in the exact same way as you registered.

Where is the Beta patch on SDC? I've gone to my games section and clicked on update app and nothing... There doesn't seem to be a download section... I'm a little frustrated, I'm super eager to try the new patch...
